Small electronics kit is on the way!
I've finally bit the bullet and ordered a small little electronics starter kit to start my journey!
I've been wanting to get into electronics and microcontrollers for a while now, and after doing some research,
I decided to go with a basic Raspberry Pi Pico starter kit. It comes with a variety of components like resistors, LEDs, sensors,
and a breadboard to get me started on some simple projects. I also have a very small LCD screen, a very small e-ink screen
from previous projects, and a bunch of mechanical keyboard switches that I'll use up for some projects.
I'm really excited to start experimenting and learning more about wiring up components and programming microcontrollers.
Once I'm actually doing stuff, I'll upload some pics to make these blogs a little more interesting.
In the meantime, I pumped out a quick little discord bot that I have wanted to make for a bit. It's not super complex,
literally just a bot that's hooked up to the Google Gemini free tier and will talk in my discord server.
He's not very nice though, here's a sample:
He can remember context over short conversations, and will call back to previous messages in the channel if needed. Just a fun little side project while I wait for my electronics kit to arrive!
