🌐 About kingfrog 🌐

Welcome to My Corner of the Web! 👋

Hey there! I'm kingfrog, a software engineer with a growing passion for hardware tinkering and electronics. While I spend my days writing code, I'm increasingly drawn to the physical side of technology – where software meets the real world through circuits, sensors, and blinking LEDs.

🔧 What I'm Currently Up To

  • Learning Electronics: Just starting my journey into hardware with a Raspberry Pi Pico starter kit. I'm excited to experiment with LEDs, sensors, and various electronic components!
  • Building a Homelab: Running my Dell Optplex 3060 Micro as a home server for:
    • Pi-hole for network-wide ad blocking
    • Home Assistant for automation
    • Media server for local content
  • Creative Projects: Working on some fun experiments like finding an unconventional home for my Echo Dot (it might end up somewhere... interesting 😄)

💻 Tech Background

My day job is in software engineering, where I've developed a solid foundation in programming and system design. But there's something exciting about branching out into hardware – it's like learning to speak a whole new language, except this one talks through voltages and currents instead of just ones and zeros.

🎯 Current Goals

  • Master the basics of electronics and circuit design
  • Complete several Raspberry Pi Pico projects
  • Set up a comprehensive home server environment
  • Document my learning journey through this blog

🤝 Let's Connect!
